Panachaiki looking for a fifth consecutive win

I felt a little betrayed by Asteras Magoulas yesterday as they did take the lead by 1-2 in the away match against Olympiakos Volou but they did not hold on to it although they rarely fail to do so. Anyway, there is still a long way ahead of us and I am very confident we will find more chances for big wins. Day 19 will be completed today with the remaining three matches, two from Group 1 (Glyfada vs. Paniliakos, Panachaiki vs. Kallithea) and one from Group 2 (Gazoros vs. Iraklis 1908).

To the previews and betting picks for the remaining matches of Day 15:

Although the bookies offer this match, it is not known yet how many men Glyfada will have as they have lost most of their players because of their financial problems. This is why they had a roster of 10 men in the last home match against Olympiakos Volou (0-4). According to the last reports, seven players of the academy were promoted to join the team along with the latest transfers, defender Theofanopoulos (21 years old from Panaigialeios) and forward Vassilios Tabakis (former player of Kifissia). Paniliakos comes from a home draw against Vyzas Megara (1-1) which was considered a negative result especially since it was the debut of Mr. Vouzas to the bench of the team. Both teams have not won since Day 7 (what a coincidence) with Glyfada having 1D-6L since then while Paniliakos has 3D-4L.

Theoretically Glyfada does not have a chance to save the season because they need a lot of wins (and luck in the results of other teams) while Paniliakos can afford the draw. Theoretically they must be interested in the win, especially since Asteras Magoulas lost yesterday. Should we choose the home side (1W-0D-6L, goals 5-16) or Paniliakos who is remarkably weak when playing away (0W-1D-6L, goals 4-14)? The solution to our problem is the option of Over 2.5 goals @ 1.75 whether Glyfada will resist or not.

Panachaiki comes from the away win against Asteras Magoulas (0-2) which was their fourth consecutive and has brought them three points away from the Playoff places after yesterday’s results. What makes this match more interesting is that Kallithea holds the fourth place which is within their reach if they manage to win this match. Their opponent also comes from a win against Fokikos (2-1 at home) recovering quickly from their only defeat this season from Chania (2-0 away). Before that, Kallithea was the only undefeated team in both Groups. They do not win as often, but they surely now how to avoid defeats as their overall stats show (6W-7D-1L). I expect to see a very interesting match from two rivals who usually have high scores when they face each other although the match of the first round did not have any goals at all (0-0). Panachaiki is doing very good lately but their home is not a fortress (3W-2D-2L, goals 8-5) while Kallithea is among the four teams that have only one away defeat (2W-4D-1L, goals 10-7). My main bet is that both teams will score @ 2.10 followed by the option of Over 2.5 goals @ 2.40.

This is another interesting match between two teams that already hold a Playoff place in the standings. Gazoros comes from the away draw against Aiginiakos (1-1) but their away stats (1W-3D-3L) have nothing to do with their home performances as they are much stronger in front of their crowd (6W-1D-0L, goals 9-1). Iraklis 1908 comes from the home win against Kavala (1-0) showing the exact same behavior. They are very strong at home (6W-1D-0L, goals 12-4) but they lose their strength when they play away (1W-2D-4L, goals 3-7). Considering the match of the first round where Iraklis won (2-0) and the fact both teams get most of their points at home, I will take my chances on the win of Gazoros @ 2.10.
