Asteras Magoulas looking for the first home win

Two more matches from the two Groups of Football League are available this Saturday. Asteras Magoulas is still looking for the first home win (and the points that will take them out of the relegation places) will face Paniliakos who comes from the emphatic away win against Glyfada (0-7) that used only nine players in that match. In the second match, Aiginiakos is coming from one of their best performances this season (1-5 away win against Pierikos) and they will face Giannitsa that hope for better days under their new coach.

The predictions for the Saturday matches:

Asteras Magoulas came close to a positive result in the last away match against Olympiakos Volou (3-2). The players of Olympiakos Volou thought their easy win in the Cup against the same opponent three days earlier and their early goal at 15’ would be enough to give them the three points. Asteras Magoulas was too desperate for a win and they scored twice (19’, 30’) making things difficult for the home side. Olympiakos Volou managed to score two more goals (32’, 51’) and got a stressful win after an average performance.

Paniliakos comes from an emphatic away win against Glyfada (0-7) which was their first after seven matches. The reason behind it was that Glyfada was not licensed by the league for the use their new players which forced them to play with 9 men throughout that match. The same had happened one week earlier in their home match against Olympiakos Volou (0-4) but it seems the players of Paniliakos were too “thirsty” for an emphatic win.

Betting Pick: The win of Asteras Magoulas @ 2.50

Personally I believe the players of Paniliakos should be ashamed for what they did to Glyfada. Professional players should not do things like that. Even if they were trying to improve their goal difference, what a @#$% they were trying to prove? That they are better than a team that played only to avoid a -3 pts penalty from the league? Asteras Magoulas is far more dangerous and scores like that alarm (if not motivate) any professional player. It is time for Paniliakos to pay the price. If the players of Asteras have the quality to stand up to Olympiakos Volou, they surely can win an opponent like Paniliakos who is weak away (1W-1D-6L) and finally get their first home win (0W-3D-4L) at a time they need it the most.

Aiginiakos comes from an amazing away win against Pierikos (1-5). How else can I call it when they find the strength to score 5 goals playing with a man down since 24’ having received a goal at 9’? Pierikos scored first but the rest of the match belonged to Aiginiakos who also received a second red card at 89’ when everything was finished.

Giannitsa were easily defeated in their last away match against Apollon Kalamarias (4-1). The score practically speaks for itself and it was their sixth consecutive defeat (0W-0D-6L, goals 4-14) which forced coach Topalidis to resign. Mr. Thanassis Dimopoulos was announced as a new coach and according to the news I get, the players have responded well to this change.

Betting Pick: The draw at halftime @ 2.50

Aiginiakos is undefeated at home (2W-5D-0L, goals 11-6) and I cannot trust a weak away team like Giannitsa (1W-2D-5L, goals 7-13) for a positive result (at least not yet). The change at the bench will give some extra motivation to the players and if I am right they will stand until halftime.
