Panthrakikos scores a lot lately
The last away win of Iraklis 1908 against Asteras Tripolis brought them on a top 5 placement in the form table of Super League. They now want to expand their mini undefeated streak (2W-1D-0L) but do not get carried away by the place of Panthrakikos in the standings. The team from Komotini had a very difficult schedule where they showed a fighting spirit and scored too many goals. The preview and betting picks:

Iraklis 1908 got an amazing win last week in the away battle against Asteras Tripolis (1-2). The home team scored first (44’ penalty kick) but the players of Papadopoulos turned the match around with two goals at 58’ and 66’. Nothing changed until the final whistle despite the efforts of Asteras (total attempts 17-8). The two teams also had an attempt at the bar at 7’ and 48’ respectively. The win of Iraklis becomes more important if we consider they had been playing with a man down since 68’ when Bulut received a second yellow card. Ironically, his first yellow was for taking off his shirt to celebrate the (winning) goal. Coach Papadopoulos was pleased with the determination of his team but he also pointed out the next match against Panthrakikos will not be easy as their today’s opponent has improved a lot lately. There are four absences reported.
Banned: Bartolini (DEF/11/1 goal), Bulut (FWD/7/1 goal/1 assist)
Injured: Saramantas (DEF/12), Lazăr (MID/6/1 assist)
Panthrakikos is still occupying the last place of the standings but they have shown signs of improvement lately. Their amazing away draw against PAOK (3-3) was followed by a home defeat against AEK (1-2), an away win against Atromitos (1-2) and a home defeat from Olympiacos (3-4). Considering the fact they lost only two times and scored a total of 9 (!) goals in such a difficult schedule, they are capable of fighting the away match against Iraklis. Coach Eleftheropoulos has probably solved the problems of the team in offense but the weak defense is still an issue. The good news is that the morale of the team is superb after the last match against Olympiacos where they were down by 1-4 but they scored twice adding a lot of stress to the best team in Super League. There are two problems reported.
Injured: Walter (MID/6/1 assist), Tzanis (FWD/2, key player, long absent)
Betting Pick: Both to score @ 2.10
This is a strange match. Both teams look confident lately but it is too soon to consider Iraklis a favorite in terms of odds. In fact, they have failed most of the times they were expected to get a win at home. The good news is that the behavior of Panthrakikos is promising many goals as their last four results were Over 5.5, Over 2.5, Over 2.5 and Over 6.5 goals respectively.
Considering all the above, the options for Over 2.5 goals @ 2.30 and Over 3.5 goals @ 4.20 deserve our attention.
