New coach for Panetolikos
It looks like the late decision for the participation of Levadiakos in Super League has not influenced them at all. I remind you they had relegated in Football League but they took the place of AOK Kerkyra when the transfer period was almost over. Their roster was supposed to be inadequate but their three wins after six matches (3W-0D-3L) show they must be doing something right. Today they will face Panetolikos on the debut of the experienced coach Matzourakis. The preview and betting pick:
Analysis: Levadiakos – Panetolikos
The home win against Asteras Tripolis (2-1) on Day 5 gave a boost to Levadiakos. They got three more points in the following away match against Panthrakikos (1-3) although their win was not as easy as the final score shows. The home team scored first with after a penalty kick at 30’ but the players of coach Matzios did not give up. They answered at 83’, and scored again at 87’ with a penalty kick. The third goal came at 90’ in a point Panthrakikos had collapsed from the shock of the two quick goals. The change at the bench of Panetolikos has alarmed the team and they are aware it is not going to be an easy game for them.
Doubtful: Macheras (MID/3)
Other: Belghazouani (MID/1) is in France recovering from an eye surgery. Valeri Domovchiyski (FWD/0) is not ready yet.
When a team concedes 10 goals in 2 matches there is obviously something wrong. Panetolikos suffered two record humiliating defeats by Kalloni (5-1 away) and Panionios (1-5 at home) and in both games the score was at 4-0 by halftime! And not only that; in both cases things could have been even worse in terms of the final score! If coach Pontes was responsible for the results until Day 5, I wonder why the team did not show any signs of improvement when he was temporarily replaced by Ioannis Dalakouras on Day 6. The officials of the club announced on 08/10/15 that Ioannis Matzourakis will be in charge which means the new coach had a total of 10 days to prepare for this match. There are two problems reported.
Injured: Corstjens (DEF/0)
Doubtful: Mighas (FWD/0) was ill last week and he missed training sessions.
Betting Pick: Both to score @ 2.20
Normally Panetolikos will show signs of improvement today so my guess is that Levadiakos will not have an easy task here. What we do know is that both teams score and concede goals lately (2/2 for Levadiakos, 3/3 for Panetolikos) and I believe it is safer to stay with this option.
Furthermore, the option for a result of Over 2.5 goals @ 2.60 is a value bet that cannot be ignored and it pays a lot better than taking a huge risk on the probable winner.
