Panthrakikos wants to start over

Coach Mantzios is under a lot of pressure lately because Panthrakikos has only one win after eight matches (1W-2D-5L). The three consecutive away defeats have been followed by rumors about his future at the club. In his recent statements he pointed out he has the support of the officials. We should not forget his team is the only one in Super League with 5 away matches since the season started. The home match against OFI Crete is a new chance to start over but they must overcome their stress first. The preview and betting pick:

Analysis: Panthrakikos – OFI Crete

Panthrakikos was defeated in the last away match against Panetolikos (3-1) but the final score does not depict their performance. They received a goal first (13′) but they answered with an attempt at the bar (34′ De Soouza) and an equalizer (60′ Cases). Panetolikos scored again at 73′ (penalty kick) but the players of Mantzios were unlucky. They deserved a second goal but they conceded a third one instead (86′). In the midweek Cup match against Atromitos (1-1 away) Mantzios made a lot of changes in the lineup as this tournament is not important for them. The home team was in control and had more chances to score however this time Panthrakikos had luck on their side. There are no problems reported and the goal for the home match against OFI is only the win.

OFI was defeated at home from Asteras Tripolis (2-3). Gattuzo was furious with the performance of his players and stated his intensions to leave. The officials of the club and the players talked him out of it but the performance of the team in the home match for the Cup against Xanthi (1-0 win) was not improved. Xanthi missed important chances for the win and the truth is a score like 0-2 (and not 1-0) would be fairer. To make things short, OFI scored in the only chance they had at 84′. There are three absences reported for the next battle at Komotini.

Injured: Apoño (MID/1), Kalajdzic (MID/3), Perogamvrakis (FWD/6/1 goal)

Betting Pick: The win of Panthrakikos @ 1.95

The odds worth the risk. Panthrakikos is better team than OFI and they have a chance to prove it at their home. OFI has already made a miraculous escape against Panathinaikos (1-2) and I really doubt their defensive attitude can be rewarded again.
