I am still here!

A server malfunction made me stop updating SoccerAnalysis for almost fourteen days. For some strange reason the website became extremely slow not only for the users (front end) but also for me (backend). It took us a while to repair it but the important thing is that the site back again. I hope you did not think I was intending to quit so easily! I also have a surprise coming up soon but I cannot talk about it until it is complete.

The days are passing fast and with Match Day 14 in front of us I have already gathered enough information for the potential and true goals of each club. Like every time I will be after the best possible bets considering the offered odds. To make things simple, I am not interested in the strong favorites but in “special” bets that will help me get the most for the real risk involved. To the matches:

When I started writing this article the match had already began. Aris is more dangerous when playing away and you can understand they do have more motivation for the win. Considering the points they need to save the season they do not have the luxury to give points against middle or low class clubs until the end of the season. If they lose 3-4 matches against such clubs they can already start making their plans for Football League.

Levadiakos fought hard in the last away match against Veria but once again they were betrayed from their poor defense (4-3). They will now look for their fifth consecutive home win but their task against Platanias will not be that easy. Nikolakakis (DEF/4), Lykogiannis (MID/10), Kandji (FWD/8) and Vassiliou (FWD/7) are not available for this match.

Platanias comes from a new home draw, this time against Atromitos (1-1), which was a positive result against a stronger opponent. The players of Mr. Anastopoulos had the advantage of an extra player for all second half after the red card at Giannoulis (43’) but despite their many attempts they failed to get the three points. Tetteh (DEF/12) and Da Silva (DEF/10) are banned and they will miss this match.

Betting Pick: Platanias (+0.5) to win @ 1.85

Four consecutive wins are just too many for an average club like Levadiakos. Platanias is too dangerous for their weak defense and I believe this option is the only good value for our money.

Olympiakos is by far the strongest team of Super League and they keep proving it with their easy wins against any opponent. Their last victim was Ergotelis at Georgios Karaiskakis (3-0). Without even trying hard the Champions scored three times having a secondary lineup and the important absence of injured Mitroglou (FWD/10/14 goals). They are still the favorites for the next home match against Asteras Tripolis but changes in the lineup are taken for granted as Mr. Michel and the players have their minds set on the important match against Anderlecht for the Champions League.

Asteras Tripolis scored three times and missed a penalty kick in the last home match against Panetolikos (3-0) taking a much easier win than we expected. The two quick goals (1’, 25’) made a huge difference to the confidence of their opponents who just could not follow. Asteras is now closer to a Playoff placement but they will need a lot of luck to escape with a positive result from Karaiskakis tonight. Mr. Verghetis will have to deal with the important absences of Baralles (FWD/10/2 goals) who is banned, and Grazzini (MID/7) and De Blasis (FWD/11/5 goals) who are injured.

Betting Pick: Both teams to score @ 2.20

Olympiakos dominates every match this season even with a secondary lineup. The absence of Mitroglou and Saviola tonight can make things more difficult for the home side especially now they think only for the match that will determine their qualification in the Round of 16 in the Champions League. Asteras can be really dangerous in offense because of their attacking mentality so this option is the only interesting bet for me here. Anything else is offered in too low odds and it is well expected by the bookies.
