PAOK and Panathinaikos in a must win situation
The players of Panathinaikos seem unable to win two consecutive matches this season and they are already 13 points away from the first place they were supposed to be after. At the same time PAOK is getting out of the financial crisis with the help of the new investor Mr. Savidis. It is the first season after a long time that payments are on time allowing the players to focus on their obligations. Right now PAOK may hold the third place but they are clearly the only club that might be a threat to Olympiakos. That is of course if they manage to win important matches where the team will need to show a winning attitude. Their match this weekend against Panionios will be a proof whether they mean business or not. No matter what the final result of PAOK will be, Panathinaikos will have to win this and every match hoping for negative results for all the clubs holding a higher place in the standings.
